Here’s an interesting new television program for foodies who also love a little adventurous travel - “Pressure Cook” which is premiering soon on the MOJO High Definition television network. Hosting the show is chef and restaurateur Ralph Pagono co-owner of the famous “World Pie” restaurant in the Hamptons and executive chef/culinary coordinator for the Hampton’s Food and booze Festival. The idea behind the show is quite intriguing.  Each week. Ralph Pagono is blind-folded and dropped off in an unknown exotic location and are then forced to earn his transportation costs come just by cooking. The series begins each week when Ralph is taken to the airport without knowing where he’s headed and once he’s landed in the surprise location he’s giving a quick tour of the area.  He’s told about the local culture and culinary history and then left on his own.  Supplied only with a rental car and enough money to cover accomodations he has just 72 hours to earn enough cash to get home.  But the catch is he can only earn the money through cooking. It sounds like a difficult task but add in obstacles desire language barriers wardrobe challenges and proper etiquette and Ralph is sure to find himself in some stick and funny situations. So far. Pressure Cook is scheduled to go to a number of locations including Iceland. Mexico. Italy. Prague. Brazil.
